A new circuit, an EICR and a house rewire are priced as their own jobs. - Minor works certificate: from £80 - New circuits need an electrical installation certificate, not this document. - An EICR for the rest of the property is a separate inspection. - House rewiring is not certified as minor works. ## Minor works certification across Burgh Heath We serve Burgh Heath from our base in Banstead. - Tattenham Way - Great Tattenhams - Waterer Gardens - Chetwode Road - Reigate Road - Brighton Road (A217) - Nork Way - Warren Road - Nork Park ## What happens on the day Minor works certification on Warren Road or at Great Tattenhams is for an addition or alteration that is not a new circuit. The altered circuit and the work just completed are checked, the tests for that change are run, and a minor works certificate with the circuit details is completed. A copy is left for the property records. New circuits need an electrical installation certificate. An EICR of the rest of the property, and a house rewire, are different bookings. ### The altered circuit We look at the circuit that was just altered, on Warren Road, at Great Tattenhams or on Nork Way. The visit does not wander into a condition report on every other circuit. ### Tests for that change The tests the addition or alteration needs are run on that circuit. If the work is actually a new circuit, we stop and say so. A minor works certificate is the wrong document for a new circuit. ### Certificate to keep The minor works certificate, with the circuit details, is completed and a copy is left with you. It confirms the change is not a new circuit. An EICR of the wider property is not attached to it. ## Burgh Heath minor works questions ### Do you certificate small alterations in Burgh Heath? Yes. From Banstead we test an altered circuit on Warren Road, at Great Tattenhams and on Nork Way, then complete a minor works certificate when the change is not a new circuit. ### Can a new circuit use this certificate? No. A new circuit needs an electrical installation certificate. If that is what was installed, we say so and do not force it onto a minor works form. ### Is this an EICR? No. An EICR looks at the condition of the installation. Minor works covers the alteration just completed, not the rest of the house on Nork Way. ### Do you keep a copy? A copy is left with you for the property records, with the circuit details filled in. Great Tattenhams and Warren Road both get that copy at the end of the tests. ### What work must already be done? The addition or alteration we are certificating. We check and test that work. We are not, on this visit, installing a rewire and then calling it minor works. ## Other services in Burgh Heath - [Electrician in Burgh Heath](https://www.tmbelectrics.co.uk/electrician-burgh-heath): Electrician in Burgh Heath, Surrey (KT20).
