It is added only when a later job needs one. - A new board is not fitted on this call. - The faulty circuit stays off until it is repaired. ## Emergency call-out & make safe across Coulsdon We serve Coulsdon from our base in Banstead. - Brighton Road - Chipstead Valley Road - Marlpit Lane - Old Coulsdon - Bradmore Green - Coulsdon Woods - Cane Hill Park - Netherne-on-the-Hill ## What happens on the day We find the circuit, fitting or board that is unsafe, isolate it, and leave the safe circuits on. The faulty circuit stays off until it is repaired, and that repair is named rather than started under this call. A make safe visit does not include a certificate. On a terrace near both stations, a circuit that was added years ago and has now failed stays off. It is not bundled back on with the lights that are still sound. ### Isolate what is unsafe The circuit or fitting that is smoking, sparking or otherwise unsafe is switched off and left off. Safe circuits are put back so the property can be used. ### Name the repair and stop The remaining repair is named. Mending the fault, swapping the consumer unit, or rewiring the terrace waits for a later booking, each with its own price. ### Keep a failed added circuit off On a terrace near both stations, one added circuit can fail while others are fine. The failed one stays isolated. It is not switched back on to make the visit look finished. ## Questions about emergency call out in Coulsdon ### Will the power come back on? Only the circuits that are safe to use. The faulty circuit stays isolated until it is repaired or replaced, and that repair is not this call. ### Is make safe the same as the repair? No. This visit removes the danger so the property can be used. The repair, a board change or a rewire is extra work afterwards. ### Do you leave a certificate? No. This call does not include one. A certificate is a separate booking, added only when the later work needs that document. ### What if one added circuit fails on a terrace near both stations? That circuit stays off. The ones that are still safe can be restored. We do not switch the failed run back on to finish the visit. ### Will you change the board while you are there? No. A board change is its own booking. This call stops once the danger is isolated and the remaining repair is named. ## Other services in Coulsdon - [Electrician in Coulsdon](https://www.tmbelectrics.co.uk/electrician-coulsdon): Coulsdon electrician for EV chargers, fault finding and domestic work, with supply, access and cable route checked first. - [Emergency call-out & make safe (all areas)](https://www.tmbelectrics.co.uk/services/emergency-call-out-make-safe): Emergency call-out and make safe from TMB Electrics in Banstead, from £80/hr.
