# Armoured cable supply run in Horley

> Armoured cable in Horley is one buried run to a booked garden building. No trench is dug where that building was never part of the booking.

Armoured cable in Horley is one buried run to a garden building that was booked. A railway era terrace gets no trench unless that building was part of the booking.

## What a Horley armoured cable day covers

One buried run from the house to the booked garden building, with a test at each end, is this price. A second building is another day.
- Power to a shed or garage: from £250
- The trench stays open until each end has a recorded test.
- A building that was never booked is not added.
- Changing the board off Massetts Road is separate.

## What happens on the day

We bury one cable between the house and the garden building that was booked, and we record the test at each end while the trench is still open. A railway era terrace near the station gets no trench unless that building was booked. Rented flats across RH6 with no garden get none either. Off Massetts Road the run starts only when the wall wiring can carry it. Seeing a lamp glow at the far end is not the record.

### Dig only to the booked building

The trench stops at the garden building that was booked. A shed spotted after digging has begun stays out of this run.

### Record each end while open

Each end is tested while the trench is still open. A lamp glowing at the far end is not what we file.

### Skip a home with no building

Station terraces and rented flats with no booked garden building get no trench. We do not invent a building to dig towards.

## Questions about armoured cable in Horley

### Does a station terrace get a trench by default?

No. A railway era terrace is dug only when a garden building was booked. We do not assume one is sitting out the back.

### What about a rented flat with no garden?

It gets no buried run. There is no garden building to reach, and the certificate cycle is a different visit.

### Will the trench also rewire the house?

No. The buried cable feeds the garden building. Circuits that have remained in the house are not replaced.

### Is a glow at the far end enough?

No. Each end is tested while the trench is still open. A lamp glowing is not the record we file. We file the tests.

### Can a shed spotted later join the dig?

Not after digging has begun. It had to be on the booking beforehand. A later shed waits for another day.
