# Downlight installation in Horley

> Downlights in Horley are fitted in the ceilings named. In a railway era terrace that is often the extension, and the visit is not a new board.

Downlights in Horley go into the ceilings that were named. In a railway era terrace that is often the extension, and it is not a new board.

## What Horley downlights cover

You pay for downlights in the rooms that were booked, on a proved circuit. A new board along Limes Avenue sits outside this price.
- Lighting installation: from £150
- A room mentioned only after we arrive is written down before any hole is cut.
- Making good the paint sits outside this visit.
- The landlord report is not produced with the lights.

## What happens on the day

A ceiling is opened only in a room that was booked, and the lights are fed from a circuit we have proved. In a railway era terrace near the station that room is often the extension, and the lights do not become a replacement of the circuits that have remained. An interwar semi along Limes Avenue gets the rooms on the list, not a new board. Off Massetts Road we do not add lights onto wall wiring that cannot carry them, however recent the board looks.

### Cut only the rooms named

Ceilings that were not on the list stay closed. In an extended station terrace the extension is included only when that room was written down.

### Test the circuit first

The lights go on a circuit we have already proved. Other circuits in the house stay shut while the ceiling is finished.

### Refuse a board that cannot feed them

Off Massetts Road, if the older wall wiring cannot feed the lights, we write that down. The board is not swapped on this visit.

## Questions about downlights in Horley

### Can you open a ceiling we only mention on the day?

Not until it is written down. The rooms on the note are the ones cut. A later room waits. A mention is not a booking.

### Do lights in a station terrace replace the old circuits?

No. Circuits that have remained through the extension stay. The lights are the lights, not a rewire.

### Does a semi along Limes Avenue get a new board?

Not for these holes. Interwar semis there are not given a consumer unit change because a ceiling was opened.

### What if the wall wiring off Massetts Road cannot feed them?

The lights wait. A recent board does not make older wall wiring able to carry them, and a new board is a later booking.

### Is painting included?

No. We leave the ceiling as cut and fitted. Whoever is decorating that room deals with the finish. Paint is not in this price.
