# Extractor fan installation in Horley

> Extractor fans in Horley are fitted in the wet room booked and run before we leave. Decorating around the grille is left for whoever is painting.

An extractor fan in Horley is fitted in the wet room that was booked. The duct remains inside that home, and the decorating around the grille is left alone.

## What a Horley extractor fan covers

You pay for the fan in the booked wet room, run before we leave. Painting around the grille is not in that price.
- Extractor fan installation: from £120
- A second room means a second fan.
- The duct finishes inside the booked home.
- Changing the board off Massetts Road is not included.

## What happens on the day

The booked bathroom or kitchen gets the fan, and we run it before we leave. In a railway era terrace near the station that room may be in the extension, and the duct still ends inside that terrace. A rented flat across RH6 keeps its certificate cycle report as a separate visit. Off Massetts Road we do not connect the fan just because the board looks recent, if the wall wiring cannot cope.

### Fit the booked wet room

The bathroom or kitchen that was booked gets the fan. A second wet room is another fan, and it is priced before any hole is cut.

### End the duct in this home

The duct finishes inside the booked house. In a station terrace it is not taken through into the house next door.

### Run it before leaving

We switch the fan on and watch the circuit while it runs. If that circuit fails, the fan comes off and the fault is recorded.

## Questions about extractor fans in Horley

### Can the fan sit in the extended part of a station terrace?

Yes, when that room was booked. The duct stays inside that terrace and is not taken through into the house next door.

### Does a rented flat get its report with the fan?

No. Privately rented homes across RH6 still need their report on the certificate cycle. Fitting the fan does not produce that paper.

### What if the circuit fails once the fan is running?

The fan comes off and the fault is recorded. We do not leave it running once that circuit has failed.

### Will a new board off Massetts Road be fitted for the fan?

No. If the older wall wiring cannot carry the fan, that fact is recorded and the fan waits. A new board comes later, as its own booking.

### Do you paint around the grille?

No. The grille is left as we fitted it. Whoever is decorating that room deals with the paint around it.
