# Handyman and general building work in Horley

> Small building repairs in Horley stay with the patch, window or seal that was booked. They do not grow into a new circuit or a board change.

Small building repairs in Horley stay small. A patch in an extended station terrace, or a seal on an interwar semi along Limes Avenue, does not grow into wiring.

## What Horley handyman work covers

You pay for the building repair that was booked. A fresh circuit, a consumer unit change, and a landlord report each need their own visit.
- General building / handyman work: from £80 an hour; from £80 an hour
- Any extra repair is priced before it begins.
- A circuit that fails is recorded and left switched off.
- A patch does not produce a landlord report.

## What happens on the day

We come for one building job, the patch or the sticking window or the failed seal that was booked. At a railway era terrace near the station that job may sit in the part added later, and it still does not create a circuit. Along Limes Avenue a seal on an interwar semi stops at that seal. Across RH6 a rented flat's certificate cycle is left untouched. Should a circuit fail during the repair, we leave it switched off and record that on the paperwork.

### Stay with the booked repair

The patch, the window or the seal that was booked is what we do. A second snag in another room is priced before anyone starts it.

### Keep wiring out of it

Making good inside an extended station terrace does not create a circuit. A failure found on the way is left switched off.

### Do not touch the board

A seal along Limes Avenue is not an excuse to change the consumer unit. Neighbouring semis on the Haroldslea roads stay off this visit.

## Questions about handyman work in Horley

### Is making good in a station terrace a rewire?

No. The patch or the seal in the extended part is the whole job. Circuits that have remained are not replaced as part of it.

### What if a circuit fails during the repair?

We leave that circuit switched off and record it. The patch is not finished by putting the failed circuit back on.

### Does a seal along Limes Avenue include new sockets?

No. An interwar semi there gets the repair that was booked. Outlets and a board change are separate visits.

### Can a rented flat's report be done with the repair?

No. The certificate cycle across RH6 is its own visit. A small building fix does not produce that report.

### Will you add a job you notice in the next room?

Only after it has been priced. Until then the booked repair is the whole visit, and the next room waits.
