A replacement cylinder is not part of it. Off Copthill Lane, a house with no heater is not priced for one. - Immersion heater repair: from £80 an hour; from £80 an hour - The replacement part is chosen after the heater cover is off. - Any plumbing for a replacement cylinder is outside this repair. - A feed that cannot stay in use is written on its own. ## Immersion heater repair across Kingswood We serve Kingswood from our base in Banstead. - Waterhouse Lane - Warren Drive - The Warren - Furze Hill - Woodland Way - Copthill Lane - Kingswood station - Lower Kingswood ## What happens on the day We repair the part that failed on the heater fitted at that address, with the circuit that feeds it switched off. A new cylinder is not assumed. We do not treat every Costain house as if an immersion were fitted. A unit in the garage is not assumed to feed the cylinder. Newer houses on Woodland Way are repaired only when a heater is there. ### Replace the part that failed Heater circuit off, we look at the heating element and the control. Only the failed part is changed. Age is not a reason to fit a new cylinder. ### Stop when the cylinder leaks We leave the cylinder unless water is already coming from it. A leak ends the electrical repair and is reported. We do not work around a wet cylinder. ### Isolate only the heater circuit The circuit switched off is the one that feeds the heater. A garage unit stays on unless it is that circuit. A rewire is not started because one part failed. ## Questions about a Kingswood immersion ### Do Costain houses all have an immersion? No. A Costain house is not treated as having one. We repair a heater only when it is fitted. Later building work does not tell us a cylinder is there. ### What about a house on Woodland Way? Same limit. A newer house is opened up only when a heater is fitted there. Extra circuits are not a sign one exists. ### Do you replace the cylinder? No. We stay with the failed heater part. If water is already leaving the cylinder, electrical work ends and the leak is reported. ### Will a failed part rewire the house? No. We test the heater's own circuit and switch it off for the repair. Original wiring stays. One failed part is not a rewire. ### Could the garage unit be feeding the heater? Only if that is the board the heater is on. A unit in the garage is not assumed to be the cylinder circuit. The visit finds the one that is. ## Other services in Kingswood - [Electrician in Kingswood](https://www.tmbelectrics.co.uk/electrician-kingswood): Electrician in Kingswood, Surrey (KT20).
