Replacing the cylinder sits outside it. A parade flat with no heater is not charged a repair. - Immersion heater repair: from £80 an hour; from £80 an hour - Plumbing a new cylinder stays with the plumber. - A leafy road board replacement is not included. - The wrong board on the Webb Estate is not changed for this fault. ## Immersion heater repair across Purley We serve Purley from our base in Banstead. - Purley Cross - Brighton Road - Foxley Lane - Webb Estate - Upper Woodcote Village - Riddlesdown - Purley Oaks - Reedham ## What happens on the day This visit is the electrical fault on the immersion heater already fitted: the supply to it, the thermostat and the element if that is what failed. A flat above the Brighton Road parades is not assumed to have a tank. On the Webb Estate the heater is traced to the board that feeds it, which matters when the supply is split. A 1920s or 1930s board on the leafy roads is not replaced because the immersion failed. A new cylinder is plumbing, and it stays with the plumber. ### Repair the heater that is there The electrical part that failed on the existing heater is what gets done. A house with no immersion is not sold a repair. ### Trace the Webb Estate board The heater is followed back to the board that feeds it. Where the supply is split, the other board is not blamed without that test. ### Do not invent a tank in a flat Flats above the Brighton Road parades are checked for a heater before any repair is priced. No tank means no immersion job. ## Questions about immersion heaters in Purley ### Do flats above the Brighton Road parades all have a tank? No. We look first. A flat with no immersion heater is not given a repair for a tank it does not have. ### Which board is the heater on at the Webb Estate? Whichever board the test shows. A split supply on the Webb Estate means we do not assume the nearest cupboard. ### Will a failed immersion replace a leafy road board? No. A 1920s or 1930s board on the leafy roads that cannot feed the heater is noted. Replacing it is a later booking. ### Do you fit a new cylinder? No. The electrical fault on the heater already there is the job. A new tank belongs with the plumber. ### Is Riddlesdown treated as having a heater in every house? No. We repair a Laing house only if that heater is actually fitted. The outlets those rooms lack are a different booking. ## Other services in Purley - [Electrician in Purley](https://www.tmbelectrics.co.uk/electrician-purley): Electrician in Purley, Croydon (CR8).
