If that cylinder has no immersion, there is nothing here to mend. The element, the thermostat, the isolator or the supply is the part in view, and the failed one is named before a replacement is fitted. The cylinder is drained only when the element or its seal has to come out. Once it is back together, the heat is checked and the thermostat is watched as it cuts. A new cylinder, plumbing leaks and a gas combi are not this visit. ### Start at the cylinder installed The heater has to be one already fixed on that cylinder. A house with no immersion is told so, and no replacement cylinder is offered in its place. ### Name the failed part first Element, thermostat, isolator or supply: whatever failed is identified before a replacement is fitted. The cylinder is drained only when the element or its seal comes out. ### Check the heat afterwards After the part is fitted, the cylinder is brought up and the thermostat is watched as it cuts. A board change in a Priory house is not opened to chase the same fault. ## Questions about immersion heaters in Reigate ### What if the house has no immersion? Then this visit has no heater to work on. A new cylinder is not fitted in its place, and the finding is said at the cupboard. ### Which parts can be replaced? The element, the thermostat, the isolator or the supply to the heater already on the cylinder. The failed part is named before the new one goes on. ### When is the cylinder drained?
