Neither a brand new circuit nor a board swap is included. - Minor works certificate: from £80 - Looking over every circuit in the house is a different booking. - A new circuit needs an installation certificate. - A Priory board change is not minor works. ## Minor works certification across Reigate We serve Reigate from our base in Banstead. - Bell Street - West Street - London Road - Doods Road - Wray Park - South Park - Woodhatch - Meadvale ## What happens on the day This sheet writes down a modest alteration on a circuit already in the house. A new circuit needs an installation certificate, and this shorter sheet cannot carry that circuit at all. Replacing the board in a 1920s or 1930s house on the old Reigate Priory estate is not minor works. In a terrace on Doods Road, where circuits were extended many times, old and newer wiring are left together only after their condition has been looked at. Age on its own does not settle that. ### Record the small change The alteration on the existing circuit is written on the minor works sheet, with what was done and which circuit it sits on. A second alteration that was never listed is not absorbed. ### Refuse a new circuit on this sheet A new circuit needs an installation certificate. The shorter sheet is the wrong document for it, and the visit does not pretend otherwise. ### Keep the Priory board separate Replacing the board in a 1920s or 1930s Reigate Priory house is its own booking. It is not written up as a small change on an existing circuit. ## Questions about minor works in Reigate ### Is this an inspection of the whole house? No. The sheet covers the small change on the circuit named. An inspection of the fixed wiring throughout the house is a different booking. ### Can a new circuit go on the shorter sheet? No. A new circuit needs an installation certificate. The minor works sheet is the wrong paper for a circuit that does not exist yet. ### Will a 1920s Priory board be replaced under minor works? No. Houses of that age on the old Reigate Priory estate often need a new board, and that replacement is booked on its own. ### Can old and newer circuits in a Doods terrace stay together? Only after their condition has been looked at. Terraces on Doods Road were extended many times. Age by itself does not decide that they can remain side by side. ### Does a conservation street change indoor minor works? Ordinary work inside does not wait on the council map. Visible equipment on a conservation street is described against that map before it is fixed outside. ## Other services in Reigate - [Electrician in Reigate](https://www.tmbelectrics.co.uk/electrician-reigate): Reigate electrician for rewiring, faults, reports and upgrades, with routes, access and the electrical scope agreed first. - [Minor works certification (all areas)](https://www.tmbelectrics.co.uk/services/minor-works-certification): Minor works certification from TMB Electrics from £80.
