We inspect that change, run the tests it needs, and write the circuit details onto the minor works certificate. A copy stays with the house. A brand new circuit needs an electrical installation certificate instead. A condition report covering everything else in the house, and a house rewire, are different bookings. ### The circuit that changed We inspect the circuit that was just altered, on Shelvers Way, at Merland Rise or on The Avenue. The visit does not wander into a condition report on every other circuit. ### Tests for that change The tests that change needs are run on that circuit. If the work is actually a new circuit, we stop and say so. A minor works certificate is the wrong document for a new circuit. ### A copy for the house Circuit details are written onto the minor works certificate, and a copy stays with you. It records a change to a circuit that already existed. A wider inspection is not attached to it. ## Tadworth minor works questions ### Can a small change on Shelvers Way be certificated? Yes. Shelvers Way, Merland Rise and The Avenue can have a small change checked and written onto a minor works certificate, provided no new circuit was added. ### Could a brand new circuit sit on this certificate? No. That document is an electrical installation certificate. If a new circuit is what was installed, we say so and do not squeeze it onto the minor works form. ### Is this a condition report? No. A condition report takes in the installation as a whole. This certificate is the change just finished, not the rest of the house at Merland Rise. ### Do you leave a copy? A copy is left with you for the property records, with the circuit details filled in. Shelvers Way and The Avenue both get that copy at the end of the tests. ### What work must already be finished? The change we are there to certificate. We inspect it and test it. A rewire is not installed on this visit and then described as minor works. ## Other services in Tadworth - [Electrician in Tadworth](https://www.tmbelectrics.co.uk/electrician-tadworth): Tadworth electrician for new circuits, outbuildings and domestic work, scoped around actual equipment and existing supply. - [Minor works certification (all areas)](https://www.tmbelectrics.co.uk/services/minor-works-certification): Minor works certification from TMB Electrics from £80.
