Kitchen electrical refit across Ewell
We serve Ewell from our base in Banstead.
What happens on the day
The oven, the hob and the small appliances are planned against the board that is already in the house. Interwar semis across KT17 and KT19 are often on a second or third board, and that is the board we design to. High Street finishes that must remain untouched are noted, and making good is separate. New appliance points are tested before the kitchen is handed back.
- Design to the board in placeA Stoneleigh or London Road semi is not assumed to still have its first board. The board in the cupboard is the one the hob and oven circuits are checked against.
- Note the finishesOn the High Street and Church Street, surfaces that must stay are listed before a cable is moved. Making good of plaster and decoration is not folded into the electrical work.
- Points and a testAppliance points, the hob and the oven connection named on the quote are fitted and tested. An under cabinet light run is included only when the quote names it.

Do you design the hob circuit for the original board?
No. KT17 and KT19 semis are often on a later board, and that board is the one we check. The original board is irrelevant if it has already been replaced.
Are tiles on Church Street replaced with the electrical work?
No. Finishes that must stay are noted first. The electrical figure does not include tiling or decoration.
Is an extractor included?
Only when the quote names the electrical connection for it. The fan itself, and a duct through a void, can be a separate extractor visit.
What if the board cannot feed an induction hob?
The board work is described on its own before the kitchen points are finished. We do not overload the board that is there.
Who marks the appliance positions?
You do, from the kitchen plan, before first fix. London Road and Stoneleigh are marked the same way.
