Smoke & heat alarm installation across Ewell
We serve Ewell from our base in Banstead.
What happens on the day
Smoke alarms go on the landing and in the bedrooms and living rooms named for a Stoneleigh or Ewell Court house. Heat is specified for the kitchen. A garage or a utility room is added only when that room is on the list. Detectors are interlinked and tested. Church Street listings keep cable off finishes that must stay. A grade or a new circuit, if the present lighting circuit cannot feed them, is described first.
- Place smoke, then heatLandings, bedrooms and living rooms take smoke. The kitchen takes heat. We do not put a smoke head where a heat head belongs, and we do not add the garage unless you have listed that room.
- Interlink and testThe heads are linked so one activation sounds the others, then each head is tested. You hear that test before we leave a London Road or Stoneleigh house.
- Respect the finishCable on Church Street and the High Street stays off finishes that must remain. A new circuit for the alarms, when needed, is described before it is added. Making good is separate.

Where does heat go in a Stoneleigh house?
In the kitchen. Smoke goes on the landing, in the bedrooms and in the living rooms on the list. The garage is only included when you have named it.
Are the heads linked?
Yes. One head has to sound the others. Each head is tested before we leave, including at Ewell Court.
Will you chase Church Street plaster for the cable?
Not where the finish has to stay. The cable keeps to a path that leaves that finish alone. Decoration is separate.
Is a fire alarm panel included?
No. A zoned commercial panel is a different specification. This visit is the domestic smoke and heat heads on the list.
What if the lighting circuit cannot feed the heads?
A new circuit is described before the heads go up. We do not hang the set on a circuit that cannot feed it.
