What happens on the day
This visit is the small building work on the list: hanging, sealing, easing a door, making good after other work. It does not produce an electrical certificate and it is not a rewire. Period cottages on The Street are not cut open. A post, a bracket or a fitting outside near Ashtead Park is positioned only after protected land, trees and visible features are considered.
- Do the job on the listEach task is named before the day. A small repair in a house off Ottways Lane or by Ashtead station is done as that task. It is not widened into a building project on arrival.
- Leave the cottage wholeMaking good on The Street uses the surfaces that are there. Fabric that has to stay is not opened so a repair can be hidden, and electrical certification is not pretended.
- Check the outside spotA fixing in the ground near Ashtead Park or toward Ashtead Common is checked first. Protected land and trees stop a position that would affect them, and another spot is chosen only by looking, not by pressing on.

Does this visit include an electrical certificate?
No. It is the building task on the list. A new circuit, a minor works certificate or a condition report is booked as that electrical job.
Will you open a cottage on The Street to hide a repair?
No. Making good stays on the surfaces that are there. The building is worked around, and a chase through the fabric is not part of a small repair.
Can a post be set near Ashtead Park?
Only after the position is checked against protected land, trees and visible features. The park is a local nature reserve, and a spot that fails the check is not used.
Is a job by Ashtead station treated differently?
No. It is the task on the list, done at that address. The station name does not add or remove any of the work.
What if the small job uncovers a wiring fault on Agates Lane?
The building task stops at that point. The fault on a long serving circuit is written up as electrical work, and it is not patched over as part of the handyman list.
