Electrician work by TMB Electrics

Your local electrician in Ashtead

Ashtead splits in two for my work. Lower Ashtead around Barnett Wood Lane, Agates Lane and Skinners Lane is close, tighter housing; the Park side above The Street is big houses on long plots with outbuildings.

EICRs, consumer unit upgrades, garden and outbuilding supplies, chargers, extra circuits and fault finding. I look at the job before quoting and agree the price with you first. Fourteen years doing this, paperwork included.

Why choose us

Efficient job, well organised with good communication

Trevor was amazing very constructive as he faced real problems with our current set up but he managed to find solutions and did an excellent job! I would recommend him to anyone, trustworthy and high level of expertise, look no further! Thank you Trevor

Trevor went over and beyond trying to sort out the recommissioning of my electrical installation. He spoke with my provider and the EICR certificate was ready in minutes. I will highly recommend

Ashtead electrician FAQs

Do you cover both Lower Ashtead and the Park side?+

Yes, all of KT21. They are different jobs: tighter houses and shorter runs down around Barnett Wood Lane, longer supplies and outbuildings up around Park Lane and Ashtead Park.

How much will it cost?+

Most jobs have a set price, and you agree it with me before I start. Fault finding is charged by the hour, because nobody can say how long a fault takes to find until they look at it. Either way you know the number before any work happens.

What happens after I get in touch?+

You send the job and your postcode, I work out what is actually involved, and you get the price before anything starts. At the end you get the certificate or report the job calls for, and notifiable work is notified to building control as part of it.

Can you add power to a garden studio or workshop?+

Yes. The supply out to an outbuilding is often older and smaller than what is being asked of it now, so I test the existing sub main before adding anything to it and tell you what it will actually take.

What does an EICR actually check?+

The consumer unit and protective devices, every circuit, earthing and bonding, and the accessible sockets, switches and fixed equipment, all written up in a report you keep.

How far is Ashtead from you?+

About a quarter of an hour from Banstead, over the Downs and through Epsom, so KT21 is inside the area I work every week.
