A new board went in years ago. Is the house fine?+
Not by itself. The board and the cable behind it are two separate questions, and plenty of Ashtead houses have a smart unit protecting wiring from the 1950s. Insulation resistance and earthing readings on each circuit settle it in an afternoon. Sometimes the answer is that everything behind the board is in good order, which is worth knowing before you spend money.
