Starlink installation across Ashtead
We serve Ashtead from our base in Banstead.
What happens on the day
The dish and the router are the ones already delivered to the house. We look for a place with open sky that the building can hold. Near Ashtead Park, which Mole Valley lists as a local nature reserve, the position is checked before a bracket goes outside where trees, protected land or a visible feature could be affected. The Street cottages keep the bracket off the period front, on a part of the building that can hold it.
- Use the kit already deliveredWe fit the dish and the router that are at the house. Ordering the kit is not this visit. The cable from the dish lands at the router position already chosen inside.
- Check the outside positionBefore a bracket is fixed near Ashtead Park or toward Ashtead Common, the spot is checked against trees and protected land. A tree that blocks the sky is noted. Protected trees are not cut to clear it.
- Spare the cottage frontPeriod cottages on The Street take the bracket where the building can hold it, not through the old front. The cable comes inside through an existing opening where there is one.

Do you supply the Starlink dish?
No. We fit the dish and router that are already at the house. If they have not arrived, the fitting waits, because there is nothing to mount.
Will trees near Ashtead Park be cut for a clearer sky?
No. Ashtead Park is a local nature reserve, and protected trees stay. The bracket is placed for the sky the house actually has, and a blocked position is reported rather than cleared.
Can the bracket go on the front of a cottage on The Street?
Not as the default. Those cottages are worked around rather than through. The bracket goes where the building can take it, away from the period front.
What if the only clear sky is toward Ashtead Common?
The position is still checked before anything is fixed outside. Protected land, trees and visible features are the constraint, and a spot that fails that check is not used.
Does the install include a new consumer unit off Craddocks Avenue?
No. The dish uses a socket or a circuit that can already feed it. A second consumer unit that is full is a different job, named before the dish is blamed.
