What happens on the day

The dish and the indoor kit are already at the house before this visit is booked. From the bracket position we look south, then we turn and look north. Church Street and the High Street front the pavement, so the bracket goes on the roof or a rear wall rather than a front lawn. The lead from the dish on a Mill Lane cottage comes through an existing awkward void.

  • Kit on site firstWe do not bring a Starlink kit. The visit is booked when the dish and the indoor unit are already at the Ewell address. A missing box stops the visit.
  • Look south, then northAt the proposed bracket we look south and then north. Trees, a neighbour roof or a Church Street parapet that blocks either direction means another spot is chosen before any fixing is drilled.
  • Lead through a voidThe external lead is clipped and brought inside. Mill Lane and West Street take that lead through an awkward void already in the weatherboarding. The service is brought online before we leave.

Ewell Starlink questions

Still have a question?

Do you supply the Starlink equipment?

No. The dish and the indoor unit need to be at the house before the visit. We mount what has arrived and bring it online.

Where can a dish go on Church Street?

On the roof or a rear wall. The front is pavement, so there is no lawn mast. The spot has to see south and also see north.

What if a parapet blocks one direction?

That spot is rejected and another is tried. We do not drill until both directions from the bracket are acceptable.

How does the lead enter a Mill Lane cottage?

Through a void the weatherboarding already has, then clipped to the indoor unit. A fresh hole through listed fabric is not the default.

Are extra rooms cabled from the router on this visit?

No. This visit ends when the dish is fixed and the service is online at the indoor unit. Another room is a data point visit.
