Garden & outdoor lighting in Kingswood
Garden lighting in Kingswood is one added circuit for the fittings named outside. It is not a rewire of the original wiring in a Costain house.

What the Kingswood garden lights include
The figure is the outside fittings named for that plot and the new circuit that feeds them. If cable already in the garden fails its test, new cable is counted after that result. The original wiring inside a Costain house is not part of this figure, and neither are the extra indoor circuits a newer house may want.

What happens on the day
Outside lights are fed by a circuit added from a board that has room. A large plot is not rewired because the garden needs light. Cable already outside is tested before it is reused. A unit in an outbuilding is used only when that unit is the sensible place to start. Houses on Woodland Way that want extra circuits indoors do not have those circuits disguised as garden lights.
- Test cable already outsideOutside cable at the Kingswood house is tested before reuse. A lamp that still lights at the far end does not show the cable is sound. A fail means replacement cable, counted once that result is known.
- Leave the original wiring indoorsA garden circuit is not the reason to replace original wiring in a Costain house. The later additions stay. The garden is the added circuit.
- Keep indoor circuits named as circuitsWoodland Way and Copthill Lane houses that want extra circuits indoors have that job named as circuits. Garden lights are the fittings outside.

Will garden lights replace wiring in a Costain house?
No. Those houses have later additions on the original wiring. The garden is an added circuit. Replacing the indoor wiring is a different job.
Can old outside cable be reused?
Only after a test that passes. A lamp that still comes on does not pass the cable. Replacement cable is counted once a fail is known.
Can the outbuilding unit feed the garden?
When that unit has room and is the sensible place to start. It is not used just because it is closer to the lawn.
Is this how Woodland Way gets extra indoor circuits?
No. Newer houses there often want extra circuits indoors. That is its own job. Garden lights stay outside.
Does a large plot mean the whole garden?
The fittings named beforehand are the job. A large Kingswood plot is not priced as every corner of the garden.
