What happens on the day
One faceplate is fitted where it was named and cabled to the router that house already keeps. On the Webb Estate the router may sit on one side of a split supply, so we name that board and do not drag the cable to the other. A flat above the Foxley Lane parades uses the flat's router, not the shop's. A data point in a Riddlesdown Laing house is not the run of extra sockets that house may want. Rooms left off the list do not get a faceplate.
- Use the router already thereThe new faceplate runs to the router this house already keeps. We do not bring a second router, and we do not leave the cable coiled for one that might arrive later.
- Name the Webb Estate boardWhere the supply is split, the board that feeds the router is the one written down. The other board is not used as a shorter path.
- Stay in the flatA flat above the Foxley Lane parades gets a point on the flat's network. The shop's router stays on the shop's label.

Do you supply a new router?
No. The new faceplate joins the router this house already keeps. Purchasing a replacement router is outside this point.
What if the Webb Estate router is on the far board?
The cable still goes to that router. A split supply on the Webb Estate is not an excuse to stop at the nearer board.
Can a Foxley Lane flat use the shop's router?
No. The supplies are labelled apart. The flat's point meets the flat's router, not the shop router downstairs.
Is this the extra sockets a Laing house wants?
No. A data point in Riddlesdown is one faceplate. The outlets those 1930s rooms were short of are a different list.
Can a second room be added on the day?
Only when it is written on before the cable is run. Otherwise that room stays without a faceplate at all.
