What one Kingswood data point includes
The figure is one faceplate joined to the router already in that home. A cable out to an annexe is included only when the router for that point is in the annexe. Any further point is added to the count before cable is cut.
From £120
Included

- A consumer unit swap is not part of this data point.

What happens on the day
We fit one faceplate and join it to the router that already serves the building. This is not a new network, and it is not a rewire of original Costain wiring. A consumer unit in the garage, annexe or outbuilding is electrical, not a place to land the cable. If the router is in an annexe, the cable ends there. Extra circuits wanted on Woodland Way are not this point.
- Finish at the router that is thereThe new faceplate finishes at the router the Kingswood home already uses. We do not add another router, and we do not equip every room on this visit.
- Do not land on the garage unitA consumer unit in the garage is not the far end of the cable. If the router is in the house, the point stays in the house.
- Leave the original wiringA data cable does not replace original wiring in a Costain house. Those circuits stay. If we meet a wiring fault during the run, that fault is a separate booking.

Will you move the router into the garage?
Not for a single new point. The router remains where it already sits. A garage fuse unit is not where this cable ends.
Can an annexe use the house router?
Only when that router already serves the annexe and the cable can reach it. Sharing an electrical board is not the same as having a network.
Does this rewire a Costain house?
No. The data cable does not touch a rewire of original wiring. If a wiring fault shows up while the point is run, that fault is booked alone.
Is a Woodland Way data point an extra circuit?
No. It is one faceplate to the router. Extra circuits those newer houses want are a different booking.
Do you fit wireless equipment as well?
Only if that equipment was chosen ahead of arrival. Otherwise the visit is the faceplate cabled back to the router the home already uses.
