Extractor fan installation in Ewell
TMB Electrics, based in Banstead, installs an extractor in Ewell through a void that already exists. West Street has those voids. Church Street listings do not get a fresh hole by default.

Extractor fan installation across Ewell
We serve Ewell from our base in Banstead.
What happens on the day
The fan is connected on a suitable circuit, with an isolator where the room needs one. On West Street, Kingston Road and Mill Lane the duct uses an awkward void already in the weatherboarding. Church Street listings do not get a new hole through protected fabric when an existing opening will do. The fan is tested running. The unit is included only when the quote names it.
- Duct through a voidMill Lane and West Street cottages are not core drilled as a habit. The duct follows a void the boarding already has, then terminates outside with a cowl or grille the quote names.
- Connect and isolateThe fan goes on a circuit that can carry it, with a switched isolator where that room needs one. A bathroom pull cord for the light is left as it is unless the quote includes that change.
- Run and testThe fan is run and the circuit tested. A kitchen fan named inside a refit can be this visit or part of the kitchen quote, and the paperwork says which.

Will you drill a new hole through West Street boarding?
Not if a void is already there. Mill Lane and Kingston Road ducts follow that void. A new hole is only discussed when no void will take the duct.
What about a listed Church Street bathroom?
Protected fabric stays. If an existing opening can take the duct, that is the path. If it cannot, the job waits rather than cutting the listing.
Is the fan unit in the price?
Only when the quote names it. Otherwise the figure is the connection, the duct and the test, and you have the fan at the house.
Do you change the bathroom pull cord as well?
Only when the quote includes that light or isolator. The extractor visit does not replace every switch in the room.
Can this sit inside a kitchen refit?
Yes, when the kitchen quote names the fan connection. Otherwise it is its own visit and its own figure.
