Can I stay in the property during the rewire?
It is possible to remain in the house by working through rooms in phases, but it does cause inconvenience. Floorboards must be lifted, walls chased, and power switched off for periods during the day, so an unoccupied property allows work to proceed much faster.
What is the difference between a partial and full rewire?
A full rewire replaces all cables, switches, sockets, and the consumer unit across the entire house. A partial rewire updates only specific sections, such as a newly built extension, a revamped kitchen, or an outbuilding, leaving sound existing circuits intact.
Does rewiring work include plastering and painting?
