Downlight installation in Purley
Downlights in Purley are cut only in rooms named before the visit. A 1930s house on the leafy roads can take those holes without the board being replaced the same day.

What Purley downlights include
Downlights in the rooms written down, on a circuit tested for them, are this price. A 1920s house on the leafy roads is not given a new board inside that price. Lights in a Riddlesdown Laing house do not include a run of new sockets.

What happens on the day
Each hole is in a ceiling that was named, and the lights are connected on a circuit tested for those rooms. On the leafy roads a 1920s or 1930s house can have the ceilings opened without that visit becoming a board replacement. In Riddlesdown, lights in a Laing house are not the extra sockets the rooms were short of. A flat above the Foxley Lane parades has holes cut in that flat only. We do not open a room that was mentioned once we were already there, unless it is written on first.
- Cut only the named ceilingsRooms written down before we arrive are the ones opened. A further ceiling seen on the day stays shut until it is added to the note.
- Leave the leafy road boardA 1930s house on the leafy roads may be due a new board. The downlights do not become that job. The circuit for the lights is tested, and the board stays as it is.
- Stay out of the shop ceilingA flat above the Foxley Lane parades is drilled for that flat. The shop ceiling is not opened so the flat can have lights.

Can you open a room we only mention on the day?
Only after it is written onto the note. Ceilings that were not named before we arrived stay closed today.
Does a leafy road house get a new board with the lights?
No. A 1920s or 1930s board may be ready for replacement, and that is a different booking from the holes.
Are Riddlesdown lights the same as extra sockets?
No. Laing houses from the 1930s often want more outlets. Downlights do not stand in for those outlets.
Will you drill the shop under a Foxley Lane flat?
No. The flat's ceilings are the ones named. The shop under the Foxley Lane parades is a separate premises.
What is tested?
The circuit that will feed the new lights, in the rooms on the list. Other circuits in the house are not pulled into the visit.
