Downlight installation in Worcester Park
TMB Electrics, based in Banstead, fits downlights in Worcester Park only where the ceiling has a void. A rear extension on Cheam Common Road is a different ceiling from the original 1930s house.

Worcester Park downlight price
Cheam Common Road extensions are counted by the openings that ceiling can take. The original rooms of the same semi are not cut just because the extension is. The Hamptons ceilings are checked one by one.

What happens on the day
A hole is cut only where a void is there. 1930s semis on Cheam Common Road and Green Lane were extended at the back, so the extension ceiling is not the original ceiling. Each is checked. Newer ceilings at The Hamptons, off Caldbeck Avenue, are not assumed clear just because the house is newer. In a Central Road flat the holes stay inside that flat.
- Check the original ceilingGreen Lane houses on the original layout are looked at above the ceiling before a hole is marked. Age is not permission to cut, and whatever already runs in the void is noted first.
- Check the extension apartCheam Common Road extensions at the back often have a different void. Downlights in the new room are planned there. If the original ceiling has no void, it is left alone.
- Stay inside the flatCentral Road flats are drilled only in the flat on the job. The ceiling toward the parade or the neighbour is not opened because this flat wants more light.

Is the rear extension on Green Lane the same ceiling as the 1930s house?
Not by default. Those semis were extended at the back. Each ceiling is checked, and a void in the extension does not license holes in the original rooms.
Do newer ceilings at The Hamptons always have a clear void?
No. Off Caldbeck Avenue the ceiling is looked at, including what already runs in it. Newer is not the same as empty.
Will you cut into the flat below on Central Road?
No. Holes stay in the flat being worked. The parade and the neighbouring flat are outside the job, and their ceilings stay closed.
What if the original layout cannot feed the extra lamps?
A new circuit is described before any cutting on Cheam Common Road. A working switch is not spare capacity.
Are the lamps on the quote?
The ones named beforehand. Changing the lamp once the holes are cut is discussed before different fittings are bought for that ceiling.
